Vancouver acting school & Vancouver high school produce "The Wizard of Oz"

Vancouver's #1 school for acting, aesthetics and make-up gives back to the community. In addition to staging our own drama productions and producing our own feature films, New Image is known for training our students by having them assist on real local productions. April 27th brought our faculty and four talented New Image students to Gleneagle Secondary in Coquitlam, BC to contribute to the senior musical theatre group's upcoming adaptation of The Wizard of Oz.

Head instructors Ryan Nicholson (make-up and effects), Amber Downing (aesthetics), Philip Granger (acting) and administrator Curtis Irvine were on hand to answer questions from Gleneagle students, demonstrate their skills, and teach the students how to apply stage make-up with modern techniques for the upcoming show. Both New Image and Gleneagle students refined their make-up abilities under the supervision of Nicholson, whose own wizardry is well-known to fans of fantastic special effects in cinema.
