I used to have a video of Emmylou Harris singing Red Dirt Girl at the Cambridge Folk Festival in 2006 I think and I used to fast forward over Tift Merritt.I have learned the error of my ways!

As canesmojo I just discovered this GRAND Lady. Heard a few songs at the radio from her concert in Oslo, Norway this summer.

I didn't even consult Dr. Youtube before I ordered the CD's.

Of all the postings I found 'bout Tift I prefer these ones from the record shop. She definately got the difficult solo-gene (unlike Jeff Tweedy).
