I wanted to bring up four honest and reasonable objections to the LDS faith and why I choose to believe that Joseph Smith was not a true prophet of God. Made with love and honesty for me LDS friends.

  • I was taught and read anti-Mormon literature in high school. I had to mull over the issue until I did what we all have to do to find the truth. That is, go to the one source of all truth. In other words we have to read the scriptures and pray with real intent to find if they are true. I have read the Book of Mormon, I prayed about it and I know that it is true. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of Christ.

  • @schnaglywagon11 You obviously didn't watch the end of the video because you did exactly what I said you would do. I called it 100% I've read it, god told me it was a lie. So one of us is wrong.... if you want to believe a prophet who had many wives when the bible says a leader can only have one, then you know which one of us is biblical and which one isn't

  • The time of which he made up the book of mormon, was a time where many religions were coming about so it was easy just to make up a religion. Also, the bible says that you can't baptize people when they are dead, and this is what mormons do. So according to this idea, i could drink, sleep around, and do drugs all my life and that's ok cause someone can baptize for the dead for me and so i would just be sucked up out of hell? heaven and hell are for eternity.. anyways thanks for posting this vid!

  • Mormons believe in the bible as well as the book or mormon, and the book of mormon contradicts several things in the bible. Joseph Smith said that in order to get into heaven you have to have at least three wives. Joseph also used a method of the occult in order to translate from the 'golden plates' and he used that method when he was younge to 'find treasure' for people but people were pissed at him because he was decieving and didn't find the treasure for them.

  • There is little I can do to convince you. All I can say is I know that it is true. I know that if you read the Book of Mormon and pray with a sincere heart, with real intent, you will know that it is true. The Holy Ghost will reveal the truth to you if you are prepared to receive it.

The missionaries can teach you all of this.

p.s.-Isaiah 12: 2. Like many versus in Isaiah, it's difficult to grasp.

"JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation." Who is our Savior?

  • @ssuperbill2 which as a Bible believing Christian I must reject the teachings of the LDS faith. The Bible warns us that false prophets will come and teach another gospel and I'm at least glad that you recognize the Bible does NOT teach any of this, it actually teaches the very opposite.

  • @schnaglywagon11 Mormons may only pray to one god but they teach that Jehovah was once a man and there was a council of gods before him and that Jesus became a god, and that good mormons will be gods.... progression to godhood is not found in the Bible or BoM and its false...

  • @schnaglywagon11I would like to give the definition for polytheism real quick since you seem to have your own idea of what it means, Wiakpedia says, Polytheism is a type of theism. Within theism, it contrasts with monotheism, the belief in a singular God. Polytheists do not always worship all the gods equally, but can be Henotheists, specializing in the worship of one particular deity. Any dictionary will contradict what you stated.

  • @schnaglywagon11 thanks for the response however, you say Mormons are monotheistic the you say there are other Gods. Just because you believe there is only one god for this planet does not make you monotheistic, it is exactly the opposite. monotheism is one God for all planets. I have read and though and what I read in Deut. says that God knows of no other Gods, in heaven above or earth below, he knows not one. So how does JS know something that Gods doesnt?
