LOL...you are right. Trust me...she never goes without. She is given the best of everthing. She's the alpha dog so she makes sure she's up front. My huge German Sheperd is sitting way behind me so she doesn't make her mad.

billiejean, you obviously do not own a cocker spaniel. If you did, you'd know that even if you had fed her right before, she'd STILL be sitting and staring at your food too. LOL!

Well, it really isn't just cockers is it? Dogs are scavengers anyway. She's my one and only spaniel but I've had many other kinds that beg. I had a toy poodle that would jump on the table and get your dinner if you walked away for a moment. LOL
This one isn't that smart or motivated (please note the falling asleep LOL). I think she's just waiting for something to drop, like she does at my feet in the kitchen.
Making sweet eyes or waiting, whichever is easier and gets results.
