Mancopy Out of Hauz Experiences Vol. 1.

Out of Hauz Experiences vol. 1 played during Aarhus Festival 2008 at the following locations:

Sept. 2nd at. 9pm & 10pm: The roof of Musikhuset Aarhus

Sept. 3rd at. 9pm & 10pm: Atrium at the architect company: Arkitema

Sept. 4th at. 9pm & 10pm: DSB "Godsbanen"

Sept. 5th at. 9pm & 10pm: Studio 2 - Filmstudios - Aarhus

Sept. 6th at. 9pm & 10pm: Parking lot under Magasin, Aarhus

In the first part of the trilogy Out of Hauz Experiences, the company Mancopy investigates what happens when the dancers move out of the safe environment of the stage and into different urban locations.

With this concept there is room for exploration of dance in new settings.

The French guest choreographer Dominique Porte - a site specific experienced choreographer - plays in Out of Hauz Experiences vol. 1 with space as an aspect and breaks with the traditional relationship between the audiences and the dancers.

With this project Mancopy has met new audiences who normally never watches contemporary quality dance.

First part of the trilogy was adjusted to the festival Aarhus Festuge 2008. The two other parts are produced in the spring 2009.

Out of Hauz experiences vol.2 is playing in February 2009 at municipal bath and pool Spanien in 8000 Aarhus C, choreographed by Jens Bjerregaard.




Out of Hauz experiences vol.3 is playing in May 2009 and the winner of AICC 2008, Rachel Erdos will be the choreographer.
