@Savageman4evr The 6 speed is leaps and bounds better than the 4 speed. Plus with the 07 GTP you get a much better motor. Faster and better MPG than the 3.9l in the 06 GTP. The 3.6 is one of the better motors GM has in their curent line-up of cars. They use it in suv's as well as cars.

the 4 spped auto with the slap shift is the best.
i have a 09 g6 gt and the gears are amazing.
1st - 0 - 45
2nd - 46 - 82
3rd - 83 - 121
4th- 122-135ish

actually the 6 speed auto is better. Thats why they switched to it.

6 speed auto was in the gtp in 07 and the GXP 08+
