An introduction to the preflight tools in Adobe Acrobat Professional.
This video was created with print buyers and print designers in mind. The tools and tips introduced to you here will empower you to examine PDF files and identify some of the most common problems associated with them.
By identifying problems before you submit files to your printer, you can save valuable time and money.
This is best viewed in HD/Full Screen mode.
@esh1 (continued) Try either opening the PDF in Adobe Illustrator and converting the type to Outlines, or place the PDF in Adobe InDesign and export as a new PDF. Check over the results carefully because these methods are not fool-proof and type can re-flow or dropout.
Thanks for the comment! I do hope to post new videos in the near future.

@esh1 Hey there. If you do not have the fonts that are missing then you're stuck; there really is no substitute for a PDF being created correctly from the start. You'll have to ask the person who created it to re-save the PDF with all of the fonts embedded. If the fonts that are missing are common fonts and are already loaded on your machine (i.e. Times, Arial, Georgia, Myriad, etc.) then you can cheat. (see continued)
