Albino Redwoods in Humboldt County

hey, i lived here all my life, and didn't know that, even though i have Redwoods in my yard in Eureka..i'm going there and get some pictures!! thanks for sharing, or i would have missed this. CNN had something on the news about Humboldt County and a youtube video, so when i typed in Humbold County, i found your albine redwoods. COOL! ;)

Love Humboldt. Graduated HSU in 1993 and have visited again and again. Once you've been a humboldtian, you never let it go. Peace to the big trees.

I've seen many small albino saplings in the redwoods.. They usually last a few years and then die. There are much more than 6 if you count all the little 3-15" guys that never make it.

@wisterV... sorry, WisterV... No B.S. here.  I grew up in Humboldt County, and at one time lived about two miles away from one of the albino redwood trees. Whenever I visit there now (from Georgia) I go to see if it's still living, and as of August 2007, it still was! Have the pictures (and a dried twig of it) to prove it.
