Volunteers in Brazil ("VIB") is an international volunteer organization located in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil - a historic, beautiful, and culturally fascinating city.
VIB offers an opportunity to engage in meaningful volunteer service abroad combined with a wide range of free-time activities. Our unique program philosophy, one that encourages participants to immerse themselves in the culture of Bahia while working in the community, makes for an unforgettable international experience.
VIB volunteers take lessons in Portuguese, learn about the African-Brazilian culture of Salvador, visit and explore the many tourist sights in the area, and enjoy Salvador´s beaches. We support four important institutions that serve approximately 2000 children and teenagers. Service programs of one or two weeks are available, as well as extended stay options of up to 12 weeks.
