Opponents Clash on Immigration

Two sides of the immigration debate collided Tuesday night outside of Winchester Hall.

Members of immigrant rights group CASA de Maryland crowded on the steps to speak against a proposal to count illegal immigrants in Frederick County Public Schools.

They wore T-shirts that read "You can count me for a better Frederick," and started their remarks with a prayer in Spanish.

As they spoke, Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, a sponsor of the proposal, stood by quietly with members of Help Save Maryland, an anti-illegal immigrant group.

By the end of the press conference, a crowd of about 50 had gathered and people used to meeting only on the Internet were standing face-to-face on the crowded sidewalk.

Immigrant rights activists shouted at their opponents, calling them Nazis, while those against illegal immigration criticized CASA for supporting lawbreakers and not speaking English only.

@azapps I indulged you now a second and last time. I took out the hurtful phrasing; therefore, your concern should only be with the topic content vs delivery thereof.

When I humored you last time, I left out cussing for the benefit of your sensitive ears. I can see that there is only one type of person you choose to/can relate with. So I pardoned your intolerance and switched up vocabular.

@D33veeoss I think you missed my point all together. I agree with much of what you have posted. My issue however is with the foul language and the personal attacks on people. If you want to be taken seriously with your posts, try using acceptable language. Try to refrain from calling every person you don't like a cunt, bitch, fucker or whatever. If they talk like shit, they probably are shit. I don't want that type of person living in my town because they would not be an honorable citizen.

I'm PRO expediting the Illegal Immigrants.

Its factual actual practical terrorism.

Economical presently and very likely social as well, time will tell.

I understand the plea and I understand the Mexican government is causing all of this drama..(and the capitalist elite countries that feed off them to make them so poor in the first place)....put do it the right way. Get your papers or else your giving your garbage to someone else instead of getting rid of it.
