To all those that have read what rinkuss has written:

1. It is a lie that I wrote anything to his/her personal inbox and is an obvious attempt to discredit what I have posted.. I can only guess the reasons behind this. When I did attempt to send Rinkuss a message to inquire as to why they would post such a fabrication the account used by "rinkuss" has been deleted.

2. Fact - Rinkuss did send a threat to my inbox stating that they were from internal affairs and hoped to get me disciplined

And with "All due respect" cricket81, if you can point to any private industry as an example that uses standardized tests as a sole means to promote, I will quiet up and say that yes I'm on the bitter wagon as opposed to the "reality check" police. Even many managers and senior managers have the foresight to realize that the Agency could experience a serious "brain drain" which you obviously are not even realizing will be an issue. This isn't about being bitter, this is about being respected

Well Cricket81, your comment would hold weight had I not passed most competitions and not been successful on a couple, and NEVER even blinked an eye but rather thought how can I improve for the next time? In this current situation I shouldn't even have to ask that question because for five years I have been assessed at the senior advisor level and ALL of my assessments have been glowing, so how is it that all of a sudden I don't possess the skills to do the job? Please explain that. Anyone?

3. And my final point, before you take shots at me "supposed" seniorprogramadvisor, you say "taking shots at the Agency that provides me with a living is pretty pathetic", oh contraire, I think it is pretty pathetic that an Agency could rely on its Advisors for many years and then open a competition that does not even recognize that contribution. Five years and yet someone with two weeks, that's right, two weeks can get screened in based on how the poster is written? That my friend is pathetic

2. Baisc tests? Really? I took social sciences in University, graduated with a Master's degree, and never were my writing skills assessed based on a multiple choice exam with no negative deductions for wrong answers. To your point about tax dollars, as you may realize, I too am a tax payer and can't believe that my national security is reduced to a multiple choice exam for those tasked with creating policy.

1. So you believe those standardized tests are a fair assessment of someone's written skills? Interesting that I know Directors, DGs, managers and so on, with actual English degrees that have failed those tests NUMEROUS times, so I guess they should leave their positions based on your methodoloy.

Hey, how can you be a Senior Advisor and not know what a POE looks like? Or the everyday enforcement activities of the CBSA? "Enforcement?? We do that??" Who knows, but it's all part of the magic.

The real border security is performed at the actual borders, not in the back rooms of Ottawa. Time to get back in the real world where the rest of us actually live ...
