KEN SLAVIN AT THE CARVER: "AIN'T MISBEHAVIN'"

This is a live recording of my opening number from a concert recorded Friday, October 23, 2009, when I was the guest of the historic Carver Community Cultural Center in San Antonio. Executive Director Yonnie Blanchette and her team asked me to kick off a new "Local Legends" concert series and I was very honored to do so. It was my first concert in a couple of years and I was delighted - and had a ball with my long-time band of Morris Nelms on piano, Chuck Moses on bass, Kevin Hess on drums, and Pierre Poree on alto saxophone and clarinet. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the music - even though it is not a mastered recording. (I do hope to eventually include some of the tracks in a live CD compilation one day!) This live recording was engineered by Eugene Ng of Krazy Kat Music in San Antonio. All photos are by Al Caballero of San Antonio.
