@adams8pjoy Excuse me, but a corporate decision to hire private security at dirt cheap rates with lax security procedures that allow or miss knives is "letting" them hijack planes.

"Engine" by Steve Ford. I wish they'd run on the 10th anniversary.

@titiraf1 That makes two of us...I've been wondering for months now who the artist is, and no one seems to know :-(

American was in a tough position after 9/11 - how the heck do you say "We're sorry we let a bunch of guys with box cutters use our planes to kill 3,000 people because we were lax in our security"? This is about the best possible commercial that they could after 9/11 - and yes, the closing scene does bring a lump to my throat.
Well done.
@Serganer Come again? they 'let' hijackers fly the planes into the towers and pentagon. let me reiterate what it means to hijack. "successful, forceful and unlawful breach and takeover of the aircraft with malicious intent" No one on the planes or in the airline saw this coming. and we're damned as hell preventing another 9/11. No one "let" hijackers do anything. The fact that these acts happened and American is still flying is proud to the spirit of what it means to be AMERICAN. we don't bow!
