Part two of Jay Sisler's home movies. Teeters, jumping skills, and my personal favorite: monkeys riding dogs.

http://workingaussiesource.com/stockdoglibrary/scott_sisler_article.htm

This video is off of a VHS that was shared with me in the late 90s. When I transferred it to DVD, the sound appears to have been lost and I'm working on it. For now, I've added comments that sync up with what Jay was saying about his dogs. I have sought permission from the late Sisler's wife with no reply . . . since this contains no sensitive information nor profit making venture for anyone, I'm posting it publicly for the Aussie community as historical reference. I would appreciate individuals keeping a low key about this posting because of the conditions of which is it posted.

Also, just to clear it up, these videos are taken in the 50s. Yeah, really.

Enjoy.

  • This. is. INCREDIBLE.

  • Like I wrote on part one this is to me the most importend dokument of the Australian Shepherd history I ever seen! Amazing! We do today alot of dogdance but nobudy reaches Jay Sisslers Performence im my oppinion.

On this part we see a monkey ride a dog personally I dont think he had to much fun doing this jumping. Hope nobody gets the idear to dosuch thing today. Back in time it sure was not a hurribale thing to let a monkey do! So it should not be a reason to get upset. It was a part of show

  • My favorite breed!!!

  • Loved the videos. My wife and I have two Aussie's and they are the most wonderful dogs I ever had of sharing my life with.

  • wow at 8:00 is that a greyhound aussie mix? I live in Texas and have seen some Aussies as well as Australian cowdog (Heeler) mixes with some strange breeds and always amazing, better in many ways than a thoroughbred

  • That´s so amazing!

  • Thank you so much for posting these Sisler videos. I sat speechless after watching part 1. What communication! I wish I'd seen them working in person! I'm going to look for more information about Jay Sisler. Astonishing!

  • Thank you for sharing an important part of Australian Shepard History. More than 30 years ago I almost bought a decendant from Sisler's dogs. Sorry that I did not, but glad I stayed with such an intelligent breed. Loved the music also! Much appreciation...
