This is my Christmas present from my wife! It is a Walden D552 12-string with a Solid Spruce top and laminated Mahogany back and sides. It has a great sound for a "low-end" 12-string, and is built surprisingly well. It is strung with D'Addario EXP strings from the factory that sound pretty well. The song is one that was popular back in my high school days in the early 70's entitled "We are one in the Spirit". Played in Em. This was the first song I learned to flatpick back in 1972 on a Suzuki 12-string no less!
This was recorded by my daughter on her new Sony DSC-H20B digital camera in HD. It is not stereo but is mono.

  • Thanks for doing this song. It's one we used to sing a lot way back when. You sound great, btw.

  • @MartelKate

You're very welcome. For some of us "oldies", it does indeed bring back memories! :) Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Hello again Fstpicker...I remember talking to you a while back about the Aria AD-80 and just stumbled across this video. Just got a Walden a few days ago for $140 shipped off Ebay! Wow these are truly under the radar guitars. Cedar top, Rosewood back and sides and its a a/e with a cutaway! Feels like a Taylor just thought i'd let you know about my latest G.A.S. purchase haha

Congrats on your new Walden. They truly are great sounding guitars that just haven't caught on big time quite yet. I sure love mine!

  • great videoo!!! is the footage compatible with windows movie maker??this camera works with a memory stick right?? please respond

  • Yes. My daughter's camera that took this is a Sony DSC-H20B and it has it's own memory stick. I'm not sure about the windows movie maker as we haven't tried it yet.

  • I'm glad you didn't get some coal in your stocking!

  • You are right! Definitely a Christmas tree! Thanks for watching!

  • Great tune and also a very beautiful tree. I trust it is a Christmas tree and not a Holiday tree.

  • Thanks. It is a very nice guitar to pick!
