I don't think we can become friends, there was never something called peace between Egypt and Israel, in Israel they called it a "cold peace" but here we called it a truce and every side is getting ready for the next war since 1973. Do you know why? because no one can steal and kill your people and ask you for peace. We and the Palestinians are one people and nothing can change that, not Mubarak or even 1000 years. We can be friends only in one case, if you give the Palestinians their right back

Maybe if you respect the treaty that says "Under no conditions Israeli troops should cross Egyptian borders" we will think of "friendship".
Maybe if you stop the unprovoked mudering of Palestinians and Lebanese for pure sport we will think about "peace.
And maybe if you don't stop the assistance of other countries, like the Turkish ship that you stole and killed its crew, and manipulate the UN to say "Nothing wrong with that" we will think about "justic" or "acceptance".

the egyptians and the palestinians are the landlords in that part of the world they have been there 7000 years of recorded history..it is the israelites who are the new entity that shoud adapt to the neighberhood.....we have seen them slaughter palestinians like dogs for pure fun..not self defence and destroy their homes and mosks.. how long did you think isreal crimes againt humanity should last before they get tired of their favorite sport..? i'm proud of the egyptians it's long du

Egypt has no problem with Jewish people they always peacefully lived in Egypt. But w hat about the Zionist ideology? and did not hear any thing about it in the video. More important what about the Palestinian people who are deposed from their homes? there is not a single word about them in the video. Is this fair? will this result in long lasting final peace? I wonder !

I'm also close to both countries.
Joseph, I don't see Israel making any provocative actions toward Egypt. On the other hand, I'm seeing many provocative actions by Egypt against Israel. Large protests, demands to withdraw from the peace treaty, and outrageous rhetoric which is just very insensitive toward Israelis.
What reasons do Egyptians have to be antagonistic toward their neighbor. Israel has absolutely no desire to attack Egypt.

@opennewscast and what do you call killing Egyptian people by Israel Army
abdutaweel 6 months ago
@abdutaweel Rogue terrorists firing on a bus is different than an accidental scenario, it is extremely tragic that those Egyptian officers lost their life, Barak apologized, very very tragic and Israel apologized. It was not intentional and they weren't targeted for being Egyptian, it was a mistake, however the terrorists did target the bus because they were Israelites and it was intentional, completely different. My heart goes out to the Israelites and innocent Egyptian officers.

@opennewscast Exactly, which is why I make suggestions for Egyptians to seek true friendship with Israelites rather than have this pseudo passive peace agreement. Egyptians need to accept a non arabized Islamic autonomous power in the region (Israel). Only by seeking a true friendship with acceptance of the people on both sides and increased economic ties can real peace and prosperity can be met, plus Egypt needs to secure Sinai and the borders better.
