This is a video of the Nebraska Model Bridge Contest in 2010. It was held on February 20th, 2010 at the Edgerton Explorit Center in Aurora, NE. For this competition, High School students from the area constructed bridges using only glue and basswood. They are rated based on the amount of pressure they can withstand without bending or breaking divided by the weight of the bridge to come up with an "efficiency" (as described at the beginning of the video). This contest was hosted by the Nebraska Society of Professional Engineers, the Engineers Club of Grand Island, and the Nebraska-Kansas Area Office of the Bureau of Reclamation.
