  • @1976Stratomaster *rhoads

  • to whoever calls randy rhoades a wannabe,.........Randy Rhoades >Eddie Van Halen........do the math motherfuckers, and if you dont get it then your not a real guitar player

  • I loved Dokken, 20 years ago, but in my own honest humble opinion, I don't think GL is really or ever was all that fucking great! There are tons of players who have "surpassed" this guy seemingly without effort.............I personally do not like his style of soloing, but hey different strokes for different folks, But never the less not on a guitar note, Dokken was a great band.

  • Randy Rhoads may have borrowed some of Eddie's techniques, like most guitar players do. But, I do not believe that meant he was trying to be Eddie.

  • @jem7772 I wouldn't exactly call Randy Rhoads a wanna be. If Randy was hear today, he could "Wanna be" hangin' with Eddie's plating all day.

  • @1QwikPony I'm not saying it's not true, but where did you get that info? Although, as great as Eddie is, I've always perceived him to be jealous of other guitar players. Even in an interview, during the monsters of rock tour, he said, "Too many players are too concerned about technique, and not enough playing from the heart." I understand in part, what he was saying. But, I think he was jealous that many other players were far surpassing him in technique.

  • @GabrieleDiGiusto - Your post doesn't make any sence - you want the 80's George back okay, but then you say music now a day's is looking back to the 70's and 80's. So isn't George part of the now, since you want an older version of him? But then like I said, you say now hard Rock music is looking back to the 70's and 80's, so THUS George is looking back at the 70's and 80's in his music as well.

  • @satchbooggy You call this still making music? Shadowlife, an album every fan ripped, contained an experimental piece of heaven instrumental called "Until I Know (Slight Return)"... this piece of shit should be called "Mr. Scary (Complete Return)".

  • Talked with the guy a couple months ago. Cool dude.

  • the key here is yes EVH would have tore anyone a new asshole back in the club days but nowdays.....what the fuck....at least GL still makes music and interacts with his fans. a true professional
