  • to all dumb-fuck commentators out there... this is a WORKSHOP and the "boring crowd" can probably play better than you ever dreamed you could... they're enjoying and immersing their selves into the music, not clapping and screaming to every note like you candy-ass teen wannabe guitarists...

  • Joe can play fast but more importantly he does it when it is required whithin a composition and not just to masterbate on the fretboard willy nilly, joes talent is that he has the gift of melody and the technical ability to play what and when he likes but with finess and class a modern day mozart who uses the guitar to express him self and his music, a master and for me while i listen to just about anything he has to be the bench mark for any one who plays guitar or composses music

  • @zzerovisibility The Joe Satriani Biographywww.satriani.com/satch_frames/joes_bio.htmlCached - Check out this site it has dates and students that joe has tought hope you find this usefull....

  • @zzerovisibility I think it was the mid 70s that joe was teaching into the early 80s I believe that he also tought kirk hammet of metalica and geoff tyson amongst others. Try wiki they will have somthing on joe and steve Iam sure

  • @shoofercat Interesting... facts.... I'd like to find out more about this.. They must have been very young??

  • @zzerovisibilityI watched an interview with satriani and vie, steve said and I quote I went to his house with a guitar in one hand strings in the other and i asked joe to teach me guitar I cut my teeth with joe he also recalls that joe had a curly lead and that was so cool ..joe tought steve via how to play a guitar joe also said that as soon as he had learned a technicque he was turnning it over to his student ..and that he has the utmost respect for stevei as a player and as a freind....

  • dmohr7 He combs his hair with a cloth

  • @MasterIsh91 hi man just one point here, who would you consider to be joes peer I cant think of one guitar player that would or could count themself on a higher level than joe in any department, But i bet there are many that dream of attaing the level of intuative playing that joe has ..... if a guitar player plays so fast the listner will miss much of it what is played, What is the point of the player playing it in my opinion there is no point.

  • @x85DogsOfWar85x I agree and with stevie ray the speed of his playing would allways complement the composition and not a distaction from it . A flavour and style unique to stevie ray ,,, texas flood outstanding stevie ray blues god! nuff said first listend to that album in about 86 a real shame that he is no longer with us .. a massive loss to all guitar and blues fans a like.

  • @shoofercat well said man.I hate when artist's shred just because they can.I would rather listen to the melodies and chorus',than shredding.....Another perfect example is Stevie Ray Vaughan. He could blow your fucking mind with how fast he played, but then could slow it down and make you wanna cry about a girl you lost 12 years ago LOL.

  • he fucked up the harmonic at 1:53 so he had to pinch it again lol
