A/N: So, the other day, my brother begged me to get on Runescape with him, and when I got on, everyone calls each other n00bs. What is the point of that? Is it supposed to offend someone? It's just an internet word. I was laughing cause my brother got all offended by it too, he was like, "Go drown in your own blood." Anyway, I think that's why I quit runescape last year...
Recap: Jaida's best friend Lucy died, and Jaida told Joe's secret. Oops.
Joe sat in the only place he could have privacy: the bathroom stall. He somewhat felt like a girl crying because she got stood up from prom, like in all those movie. But that really was the only place to go. He wasn't crying or freaking out or anything, he just needed room to think. He didn't really regret what happened with Sienna that day. He should, since he broke his promise, but he didn't. He heard footsteps, but he didn't bother to do anything about it. He knew it'd just be one of his brothers wanting to talk. To his surprise, it was Jaida.
"Joe, can we talk?" she asked.
"Jaida, this is a guys' bathroom."
"No one cares." She started pounding on the stall door.
"Jaida stop!" he commanded. She stopped automatically.
"I'm sorry." she reasoned.
"You told my secret."
"Oh, Joe, no one cares. Nick knew, Kevin would've found out, and Natalie could care less. Look at her belly." He chuckled at the last statement. He sighed, opened the door and pulled her in with him. He scooted over on the closed toilet seat so she could sit. It was crammed, but they didn't care.
"What do you mean 'Nick knew'?" he asked. She shrugged. "You told him before, didn't you!" he realized.
"No. He said he already knew."
"I didn't tell him."
"Well, I don't know, Joe. He's smart. He knows things."
"True."
"Joe, you told Nick it was a mistake." she said softly.
"I didn't mean it. I just didn't want Nick thinking it was okay."
"We weren't doing anything."
"I believe you." Seh leaned onto him. She had forgotten all about this morning until now. She let tears slip. "What's wrong?" Joe asked her.
"Lucy, she was...killed." She choked on the last word. Joe's eyes widened in surprise.
"That's what happened?" She nodded.
"Her ex shot her." He wrapped him arms around her as she let more tears slip. They sat like that for a while, enjoying the silence.
"You know, we're in a bathroom." Joe pointed out. Jaida laughed as she wiped her tears. "You okay?" he asked her. She shrugged. They silently walked out of the bathroom. He took her to in front of the room where everyone else was.
"Aren't you comign in?" she asked him. He shook his head.
"Dess is coming here for me. I better wait for her outside."
"Ooh, Dess. Joe's got a girlfriend." she teased. He shoved her playfully.
"Just, tell Kevin where I went."
"Kay." She walked back into the room with everyone.
"Where's Joe?" Kevin asked automatically.
"He left to become a stripper." she said sarcastically. Kevin didn't pick up the sarcasm.
"What?!"
"Kev, calm down. He's meeting Dess." She went and sat next to Nick. "You should go easy on him." she continued.
"Why? He broke one of the biggest promises of his life!"
"Yeah, but no one's hurt. It's like it never happened. You never would've known if I neevr said anything.
"He could've got her pregnant! They could've...ummm...I don't know, whatever else bad could happen." He knew there was more, his mind was just fogged.
"But nothing happened."
"That doesn't make it better."
"I have to agree with Jaida." Nick added in. "I mean, nothing happened, it was one time, with someone he really loved. It wasn't like he did it with some random girl. We all knew her and trusted her."
"Natalie, you're on my side, right?" Kevin asked. She gave him an apologetic look.
"You might be overreacting a bit." she said.
"Oh, come on. No one thinks this is bad?"
"It was, but what are we supposed to do about it now? It's over, she's gone, nothing happened from it." Nick pointed out. Jaida plopped her head onto Nick's shoulder, thinking about today's events.
"Nothing," she started, "except the dreaded day."
So, what's going to happen? Joe and Jaida seem to be becoming good friends.
