@aguacun Can happen.....George Gagnidze, who play`s Rigoletto was sick and announced, but she, I don `t think so.....unfortunately , she sounded very bad all the night.

@lunair30 may be she could be ill? a flue perhaps? I did not saw her but a friend of mine went to the Met and she told to me that her middle register was in very bad condition that night.

Last night I heard the worst Gilda than anyone could sing, a disrespect to the audience at the Met. Live, unfortunately , she sounded like a student.

I don't know about all these crazy critics left and right... but I think this is brilliant. I watch Schafer's version of this song regularly. I just adore it!
