**Update in 2011 - I am living back in Japan and I did sell a bunch of lasers that weekend. The 20 or so discs I still have are back in storage in San Diego and NOT for sale at this time**
During the 5 years I lived in Japan, I kept a storage unit for all the stuff I couldn't take with me - tons of DVDs, CDs, comic books and all my beloved Laserdiscs.
I even have two players - one that works and one that is broken that I kept for parts.

But now that I'm back, and thinking that I'll be going back to Japan in 2010 for another extended stay, it just doesn't make sense for me to hold on to all this stuff, and pay the $75/month storage fee.

So I'm torn between trying to sell my discs on Ebay, trading them in at a local CD/DVD shop for trade credit, or trying to sell a few at the garage sale my folks are having this weekend.

I would like to keep a few, but the ones I keep will just end up back in storage.

If you had an LD player - what did you do with all your discs as you switched over to DVD/Blu-Ray?

Thanks for watching.
-Jason

  • @junkyturd the first Rush Hour and the first Shanghai Noon movie are both good. The sellout comment was more directed at the past 5 years with titles like The Spy Next Door and Tuxedo. I'll always be a fan tho.
