This is one of the very first Mitsubishi Electric machine-room-less elevators in Hong Kong. Nevertheless, apart from the machine-room-less design, everything is simply the same as any Mitsubishi lift of the same era and car design. The flashing of the floor number on arrival is pretty common among newer Mitsubishi elevators.

Nah, all traction elevators in Central Star Ferry are Elenessa (MRL). NexWay aren't really MRL, just a reduced Machine Room footprint. For slightly taller buildings than NexWay.
