How can you prove that there is no gold in Alaska? Could God live on Pluto? These and other tough questions were asked on this very old episode of The Atheist Experience from January 1998.

Host: Ray Blevins
Co-host: Joe Zamecki

  • My other question is, where's Dillahunty? These guys are sadly inept by comparison and Matt would make mincemeat of this guy.

  • Who are those guys?? its an argument so simple to show false!!!

  • :3 Its crazy to see how far this show has gone. I hope one day this actually hits prime time cable.

  • Yeah this is pathetic. I'm glad the arguments have evolved.

  • Oh oh oh... no cookie for these guys. It's great to know there's better argumentation going today than back then. It's great to see that at least atheists learn from their argumentation fails and come up with new stuff to debunk those claims with.

This one would have failed immediately if they had answered the first question: "No, we don't know if god exists or not, but what ever the case, there's not evidence given to support claim that he exists."

  • humans didn't invent the concept of gold, gold is tangible. it was in the dirt before we were here. that was a horrible analogy.

  • Oh man i would have destroyed this guy.

  • @IoEstasCedonta what might be matt?

  • The problem with this argument is that for everything that exists, there are infinite alternatives of which a human mind can conceive. So it is sufficient for the null hypothesis to stand.

But don't they make a point of NOT declaratively saying this in later years?

  • @brez002 Hey, this might be Matt!
