This is a lesson all about power chords.

Power chords are not really that exciting or hard to play, but they are a fundamental part of metal guitar playing, so you had better be able to play them extremely well.

I have some tips and tricks about power chords, how to form them, and how to play them cleanly.

As always, the purpose of the exercises and the samples is to learn how to play quickly and efficiently, while being clean. They are intentionally very simple and easy. Anyone can play a power chord, but only a great player can play them well. So don't focus on just doing the exercises. Instead, focus on learning how to play them perfectly and cleanly.

  • How do you do a d power chord?

Does it's shape change as you move it on the fret?

  • @xonlyxthexreflection No, it doesn't change as you move it down frets. It's just a root and fifth. Check out the tabs on my website to learn about it.

  • can someone direct me to something that can help me learn the power chords? this is just saying what they are. HOW DO I PLAY THEMMMMMMM!!!! why cant there be one sane person out there that has a tutorial on how to play all of the power chords. its rediculous!
