@jdrum12 That is a great foundation and it surely shows in your playing. I thought you probably would teach with the skills I saw on some of your videos. Also there was sheet music on a stand in one of your vid's which pretty much solidified my thought. I started playing again about 4 years ago, doing a bit of giging and got to play with my oldest son who was in the band for a couple of years.........Take care....Nick

Great lesson. Man you are fast, sharp and have excellent mechanics. From watching this and a couple of your covers you appear to have been very well schooled on drums. If so, how long have you taken lessons for and how long have you been drumming? ... Nick

@readyeddy101 Thanks! I studied as a teenager in the 70's with a big band drummer named Dick Bennet in Brooklyn. We went thru Stick Control, Wilcoxon's 150 Solos, Jim Chapin's Jazz Independence Book. So I have a good foundation. I played many gigs thru my 20's and 30's. Now I teach and just play for fun. With the ease of recording with Rolands and this Youtube platform, it's something fun to do in my spare time since I still love to play.
