Yesterday, January 4, 2010, I, "The Mississauga Muse" waited for the doors of the Mississauga City Clerk's office to open. When it did, I filed candidacy for Mayor (time: 8:35 am).

This video shows the filing procedure, a brief "self-interview" explaining why I felt compelled to set a match to 200 bucks.

The video also includes two separate examples of what MISSISSAUGAWATCH has been lamenting and condemning for over four years now --City of Mississauga Staff's non-compliance to Corporate Policies and Procedures. Or. In some cases, guidelines and provincial legislation as well.

Often when Staff violate or fail to comply to policy, the City loses money (like the $735,000 or so flapping out the door when Infoplace went belly-up.

Freedom of Information, however shows Staff failure to comply to policies that affect treatment of citizens (youth and minors) behind-the-scenes while the same Staff trumpet publicly on their Trust, Quality and Excellence.

It is this Jekyll/Hyde personna that was the offensive Last Straw.

For the record. If City Staff really were proud to work for Mayor McCallion (and they should've considered it an honour), they would've acted accordingly! City Staff failed our Mayor just as much as they screwed over citizens and especially youth/minors.

Note, more than anything I'm hoping for a real candidate to show up...

That interviewer was a total bitch. excuse me while I puke.... I have been to these meetings. They are so tedious. these people are heartless. They say 'address your concerns' and all their legaleze. I wish you well.

Ah! So you're one of the enlightened! You know what "address your concerns" means!

I'm sure you know this as well. Their legalese enables them to use "decent" language to do the UNdecent. They'll lie right in your face as they brag about their Trust, Quality Excellence.

Bad enough they do that to me (I know about Freedom of Information). But it's brutal when I see them dupe others.

p.s. a shaky unfocused handheld video of you filling out a form is not exactly a compelling piece of cinematography but a pretty clear indication as to why the City feels the need to put in so many security cameras.

Because I'm videotaping myself filling in the word "MAYOR" on a line and it's "shaky, unfocused" you conclude that's "why the City feels the need to put in so many security cameras."

Congratulations! You asininity (new word created just for you) and steadfast refusal to get yourself informed qualifies you as a TYPICAL Mississauga voter!

Knowing that Mississaugans vote with their wallets and/or empty heads is the main reason that I conceded defeat 15 minutes after filing!

Arent you concerned that your campaign will split the lonely, isolated, socially inappropriate, unemployed, living with their parents at fifty voting bloc currently controlled by Don Barber?

As a fringe candidate your lacking in a lot of areas, you should think about having a crazier one issue to beat like a dead horse. How about importing puffins, or secession from Ontario and making Mississauga a Nation State.

Clearly you didn't watch the entire video, you moron! This video documents the maladministration that's rampant at the City of MYTHissauga.

Mayor McCallion and City Manager Baker publicly trumpeting "Trust Quality Excellence" while at Audit Committees we get McCallion finally conceding not just that Staff fail to comply to policies --but can't find any TRACE of policies "lost in the shuffle".

I research using Freedom of Information, I see YOU limit yourself entirely to crapping out opinions!
