@sjheyhey699 Unless you have something serious like Graves' Disease your doctor should first have you look into natural & holistic remedies. Diet, exercise & stress have a great affect on thyroid function. You may just be ingesting too much iodine in your diet causing hyperthyroidism. Have a nutritionist examine & change your diet and see what happens after a few months.

I have just ask the lord to be with you through this journey. You will obtain all that is needed to know about this disease. Stay strong.

You are so right. I just learned that I have hypothyroidism. Your levels can be normal while experiencing symptoms. If anyone is taking synthroid do not take that it will cause your hair to fall out even more. Try Armour desiccated it is GREAT!

And most of all it is soooo cheap. It is natural and more like your own. When I took it I felt results immediately. I went from sleeping all day when I was off to not even taking a nap after using it. I recommend it I FEEL GREAT! Now, I'm waiting for my hair to grow back.
Was your hair falling out? If so, how long did it take for it to grow back?

I lost my thyroid 2 1/2 years ago to Thyroid Cancer and my dr has had trouble getting my T4 (thyroid hormone) to the correct blood level. I take the highest dose of synthroid.
In the meantime my hair continues to fall out, or is dry and brittle. I've always had thick, full bodied hair, so my self image has taken a beating. I continue to be positive but frankly of all the symptoms of this condition, hair loss is the worst!!
To anyone else affected by Thryoid Cancer, Thyca.org is very helpful!
im going through the exact same things you are.
