This is a video of the Presto E90 Saddle Stitcher. The Presto E90 was introduced to the world at Drupa 2008. At Ipex 2010 the Presto family of saddle stitchers was launched with the introduction of the Presto A90, a cost effective solution for print finishing needs. The Presto A90 and E90 are based on the established Presto saddle stitcher of which over 1,400 have been installed worldwide. Very efficient and flexible runs can be realized at speeds up to 9,000 cycles per hour. The Presto family of saddle stitchers feature the most compact design on the market today, allowing customers to have more pockets in a small footprint.

The "E" in E90 highlights the high degree of automation. The E90 has automatic synchronization of the gathering chain to the trimmer. It also has automatic timing of the yoke to the infeed of the trimmer. Both of these setups are completed based on the product size information entered at 10.5" touch screen. The timing of the feeders to the gathering chain is done semi-automatically. This means that user is prompted by the touchscreen to disengage and engage the feeders while the chain moves to the correct timing position.

The overall goal of the E90 is to make setup times faster while also making the setup and machine controls user friendly. At Ipex 2010, the Presto E90 was shown running an A4 job 9,000 cph. The machine was then changed over to run 2-up A6. This setup included installing the center knife in the NEW three knife trimmer as well as the stacker changover to 2-up. This entire changeover only takes 6 MINUTES! For customers whom own older saddle stitchers, this reduced make ready time is quite impressive.
