The Democrats, during the 2006 Congressional elections, promised the American people that if they won control of the U.S. Congress that they would end the Iraq War. The voters trusted them. And, the Democrats did, in 2007, take control of the Congress. When, if ever, are the Democrats going to keep their word? As of June 27, 2008, 4,113 U.S. troops have died in the Iraq War. The cost of the conflict to the American taxpayers is estimated at $3 trillion.

  • The Democratic Party has become nothing more than another mask for the same NeoFascists that control the GOP.

    This election will change NOTHING.

  • If you look back at the campaigns from 2006 you will note that the Democrats never promised to end the war. They complained about the war but didn't pledge to end it. Even the sensible hawk Jack Murtha only called for a 'strategic redeployment' That's all they ever offered. It's a cynical game and it disgusts me. Those 4000+ deaths (to say nothing of the million+ Iraqis killed and 4 million+ Iraqis displaced)mean nothing to politicians. The Dems would rather use it as an albatross than ...

  • No they won't and they feel no need to because they will not suffer as a result. If everyone opposed to the occupation of Iraq refused to vote for Democrats and publicly said so, there might be some progress.

Voting for Democrats is enabling the murder, maiming and torture of Afghans and Iraqis.

  • they all look like comic book villains. The legion of doom.

  • Answer: No.

They are a buch of liars, cheats, and corporate puppets, just like the GOP!

  • Democrats are only about 25% less spineless

    than republicans.

    that's just how I feel.

    Sorry.
