@champions2009908 rofl. It's OK we're all new at some point. If its a car it will most likely be front wheel drive with CV shafts. Some cars have rear wheel drive and a select few have all wheel drive. The closest a car will have to 4x4 is all wheel drive.
If you meant that you have an SUV or a truck you will either have a stick to operate the transfer case or a button on your dash somewhere to engage or disengage the 4x4. PM if you have any questions.
