@reddeath555 - There is an older movie about Aileen Wuornos and Tyria. I think it was called 'overkill'? Not sure, it is a long time ago I saw it. The Tyria in that movie did not look like the real one at all also.

Sadly, I think Hollywood probably assumed that the audience wouldn't identify with or feel pity for someone as 'ugly' as Tyria, so they got an actress who was small, thin, and a 'prettier'.

I feel sorry for aileen. She had a hard life which caused her to turn into a cold blooded killer. RIP Aileen.

@Destruction555666 Well Charlize Theron (the actress) gained weight for the role; as well as shaved her eyebrows and wore prostetic teeth. SHe won an Oscar for her performance! i think thats what was the most impressive-she embodied Aileen and made us really empathize with her
