This is Seans face during a Tonic Clonic (Grand Mal) seizure. This is due to him having Dravet Syndrome, a hard to treat epilepsy.

I don't understand though... How the hell can people laugh at this poor child??

You people are adults now, grow up or get out. It's sad that I'm only 13, and I would never ever in my life laugh at something like this...

What really pisses me off is that many people actually imitate people having seizures as a joke. That's just sick...

@jesirene19 dude, you cant do ANYTHING about it when someone has a seizure. This video was probably meant for awarness. I have seizures and it wouldnt bother me a bit if my dad were to video it and put it on youtube! At least I know someone else in the world could figure out what an actual seizure looks like and take action so the person having a seizure doesnt choke.

The issue with surgery is that assuming a tumor is not the cause of epilepsy, a surgeon often must remove a large portion of healthy tissue to have a reasonable chance to stop the occurrence of seizures.

Did you know that 10% of people experience epilepsy in their lives? That's the statistic. I know a thing or two about epilepsy as I have personally experienced it for a couple years and I'm studying neuroscience in college. Epilepsy can be tough to cure. Medication can work sometimes but doesn't generally cure epilepsy -- it only prevents seizures or reduces the severity of the seizures. Once EEGs or other studies locate the area of the brain that is causing the seizures, surgery is an option.

its heart wrenching to see what you have to while looking at probably the #1 love of your life,how could anyone say ANYTHING derogatory about you informing people or possibly helping other mothers who are struggling with the same thing...shame on them,ignore them and let God be your strength while you guys go thru this...im rooting for you guys:)

I would like for the parent to know that there are christians who are viewing these videos and praying for these little angels..I am also in healthcare and pray for many of my patients..I would encourage you not to even waste your emotions responding to "cruel people" that are repeating comments spoken to them by demons. God cares and loves his precious creation that are suffering and has his 'agents" in every area of life! God Bless You and your little one!
