Ruth and I paddled 100 km in two days. The second day we started paddling at 2 pm and didn't quit until we arrived in Red Rock Marina at 3 am the next morning. When we did get there, everything we had taken with us was completely saturated with water: the last 10 k of the trip we had waves breaking in our canoe and subsequently got entirely soaked. The next morning we woke up early and hitch hiked back to Rossport and the truck. A very adventurous trip, and our first on Superior! Please subscribe if you want more video's of us doing our normal crazy things!

  • You gals define the word adventurer. Outstanding video!

  • @sjtom57 Thanks! I appreciate your support.

  • I don't want to sound like your parents, but a PFD would be a good idea on open

water crossings like this. I sail a large boat, and wear a PFD when conditions demand, and almost always wear one when canoeing. Other than that (safety first!),

    looks like a great trip!

  • @FrankB1191 We had them....the bottom of the canoe was so cold it was a great insulator for our feet. Thanks for watching...

  • Is that an XY paddle and did you get it at Ntier? The paddle seems heavy and you girls seem completely confident. Good job, I would like to see your camp layout as well and cooking style.

  • @canoedad2 got custom made by the maker in Atikokan...such an awesome paddle!

  • @JesusIsKingofGlory Wearing them on your feet--well, you may meet your Maker sooner. Wear them on your body, tightened for action, for safety!

  • superior without life jackets??? everything can change in a second. you're suddenly in the water, the wind will blow your canoe away before you know what happened. hey, you can have fun AND wear a life jacket! they're not mutually exclusive! please keep on having adventures. loved the vid.

  • Awesome location! I sailed then kayaked around the islands last summer. SO AWESOME!

  • @FrankB1191 Agreed Frank....PFD's while in canoes EVERYTIME!! Too many people drown each year because they thought they were "strong enough" swimmers. Ladies...you only get to live this life once, be smart and live it long as possible. Wear your floatations! :)
