  • Look at the shape that mofo is in at his age, damn.

  • No respect for the best friend of THE iguanas ,it's only shit people!!!!

  • @Koolkitties...I couldn't agree more, brother/sister (brother,I'm guessin') Yeah I splurged on the full edition too. Ron started as a bass player, of course, and like I told Kathy, I think he was the only one who could rival John Entwhistle. Now my dad is circling the same drain. I hope they meet. Different TYPES of music, but dedication to it...

    Hope you joined the R.A.F...

Come with me on my Death Trip, man...Penny Traition (ONCE, so fine so fine...)

    )O(

  • @PennyTraition Ron was a unique guitarist but he was a great bassist. Whole Georgia Peaches live album on Raw Power LEgacy Edition is brilliant as far as the bass parts.

  • that's so cool..big heart. Sounds nice too. Sad.

  • @robbee23 Without Williamson, Asheton wouldn't have been on Raw Power. Plus Williamson wrote all the music on Raw Power. I'm not an Asheton vs. Williamson debater - I think they both offered great contributions to the Stooges. But Williamson is very very underrated.

  • If you loved The Stooges, truly, remember Ron Asheton, heart and soul of the band, who with his brother Scott formed the band for the most dynamic frontman IGGY. At least he got to see The Stooges become massive, and, though James Williamson came in on guitar, Ron still wrote killer bass lines ('She Creatures Of The Hollywood Hills' etc)...Join the Ron Asheton [memorial] Foundation...For some reason they won't let me give the link, go in via the Official Stooges site. For homeless animals )O(

  • Without Ron Asheton James Williamson would be nobody ! RIP Ronnie !

  • the best

  • sublime...
