Well, those Arsenal days were dominated by the French World & Euro champs, much like the Spaniards at Barca today. Man, would I like to see that 2004 Gunner team face up against the current Barca side :O Football at its finest.

@footballrook I cant think of the current generation of players who will replace the class of the likes of Zidane, Henry, Ronaldo9, Maldini, Cannavaro, Bergkamp ect ect ect. I guess Im getting off topic here but my point is Arsenal didnt win because of the amazing competition that was at hand. Not to mention its a shame they couldnt hold on another 15 mins & pull it off in 2006 against Barca.

@footballrook I would tend to disagree with you on that one... Arsenal were quite unlucky not to win the CL with that team. But then again it was much harder back then imo solely because of the best generation of footballers who played during that era including an abundance of great defenders. It was all evenly matched across Europe. Today you have Barca, United, Man City & Real who hold the best talent and theres a real lack of CLASS footballers.

@anelka09 to be fair that arsenal team before 2004 sucked in europe ..their style of play doesnt work against continental teams..just look at madrid using english tactics
