It's as if Natalie Dessay and Diana Damrau are trying out-crazy one another. I'm fairly sure Dessay wins.

in the end - only Natalie Dessay. She's the Best i LOVE her

As much as I love Nilsson, I would have pretty done with one of those Dimitrova C6 missiles from the 1983 Verona "Turandot" for a change ;)

For the lower notes, I think either Nilsson or Sutherland win. They are both remarkable singers and have huge power and ability, as well as Callas in her earlier days. The top notes are difficult, because both Dessay and Damrau have remarkable power and agility. Personally, I prefer Damrau because the sound feels less covered, but that's just to my taste.

@paulescence ...umm, what are you smoking, and can I have some?

As much as I admire Leontyne Price, I find her high C in Aida, at least in this video, odd sounding, too open.

Why did you choose that first Callas excerpt?
-
What is Ewa Podles singing??
-

@paulescence Ab6 is the enharmonic equivalent to G#6.
