With the closure of the Dupont Circle Station south entrance on February 1, the digital team decided to take a quick moment to explain possible alternatives for traveling to the south side of Dupont Circle - Dupont Circle Q Street (North) entrance or Farragut North.

  • So going to the 1600 block of P Street, which do you think would be better: Farragut North or Dupont Circle Q Street entrance? I'm leaning Farragut North, but am willing to be convinced otherwise if Q Street is actually closer or better crossings-wise.

  • @schuminweb that's a judgement call on your part. I'd say from looking at a map that you might just want to try Q Street. It appears closer, and probably easiest directional-wise. ^BA

  • Metro is run by MORONS. It took 13 months to build the Empire State Building from scratch and it takes Metro NINE MONTHS (they say, I bet it will be longer) to replace three lousy elevators? What Metro won't tell you is that they replaced these escalators already in 1997 and they're already junk. This system is a disgrace to the Nation's Capital, a sham of overpaid unionized layabouts milking it (and us) for every penny it's worth.
