Yes there is 5, but how do you make them, for example something people dont do any more but is mentioned in the hadith, after coming up from ruku we should stay in the standing position as long as we were in the ruku position before going into sujud. without hadith you cant salah and without salah nothing counts.

@MrPs3forall .. Hadith are a guide to only one thing.. and that would be how to DISTORT ISLAM.. nothing else..
**
the deviant Bukhari and his fellow Kuffar lied and were the TRUE FOLLOWERS of IBLEES.. nothing more..
they have nothing to do with ISLAM

@QuranVsHadith
[CONT] That alone to me proves that Hadiths are both unnecessary and detrimental to our understanding of what Islam is. But I remember hearing once that how Muslims should pray is at least in some part mentioned in the Qur'an, although I'm not too sure about this. Just thought I'd bring it to everyone's attention.
End of rant : )

You are a absolutist skeptic - humans do not believe in things they hold to be 100%. Humans hold degrees of probablity. Hadith, just like any historical document, have degrees of certainty, and are important for us to hold on to if there are strong indications of truth (the mutawata hadith are 100% certain - and the basis for the compilation of Quran!). If you deny anything that is not 100% certain, then reject the belief that the Sun will rise tomorrow.

The Quran was compiled using mutawatta narratives -check your history (that's right, history). Secondly, try reading the Quran without knowing fushah Arabic (which is obtained from other books, called dictionaries and lexicons). Lastly, how do we know about the historical events referred to inthe Quran - that's right, the hadith provide context. In the Quran, Allah (swt) says he sent down the book and the hikmah (wisdom). The book is the Quran, the hikmah resides in the sunnah
