i didnt like the first place because the colors she used were not the ones on the picture and ,,,, she was supposted to be inspired on the pic well .. thats wat i think

the picture was for inspiration, not a color chart. can't stress that enough.

everyone views something different, so they're going to be inspired differently.

either way every color she used was actually in the photo. (dark blue in the water, gold lights/beach, pink/purple sky)

i thought some of the top 7 people should have been in the top 3. the first place winner was the best but the other two were mehhh.

like i said before it wasn't based off of skill alone.

i watched videos, saw/heard how the pulled inspiration from the picture, and put that on top of execution. that is how the decision was made.

there were runners-up who i think had better meakeup than the 2nd and 3rd place winners. but 1st place defo deserves her prize.

WELL I think that you chose wisely: although #1 didn't really fit the theme: the detail and work that went in is a true masterpiece. AND no one can deny that! (I still think your tutorial was the best, in my opinion.)

I'd say the winner did a breathtaking ice empress look. It was amazing, but something tells me there's very little ice in Waikiki. :p Youraddiction's look was hands-down the best. Great contest, thanks Petrilude!
