A year before Elvis ever entered a recording studio (to cut "My Happiness" on an acetate for his mother), Wynonie Harris - a/k/a "Mr. Blues" - recorded this, his last of a long string of rockin' classics which only charted R&B. While people think of the blues as sad songs, Wynonie clearly did not - as he recorded very few slow, sad numbers. A madcap, devil-may-care party animal. Harris lived his life full of booze, sex and good times while they lasted. Sadly, he died almost forgotten in 1969.
