Sorry to disappoint you. I'm an Aztec descendant and the gold these people talk about is buried in mud in the southern Tenochtitlan road. No one was able to get it out. The Tenochtitlan Aztecs died, and it's still there buried beneath tons of dirt and concrete. The Spanish heard dumb stories about El Dorado and the gold found are scraps and scraps have been found. The Spanish hid gold, but if real archeological pieces are left can be sold to the British Museum or the Getty Museum for a lot.
