Where is music like this in hip hop right now? This is one of the reason why hip hop is dead-there is less of this and more of negative and trifling bullshit! My heart is breaking right now because I can honestly say that there is NO I repeat NO black conscious music like this anymore, and when there is, nobody gives a fuck anymore. SMMFH

Well, today's topic, self destruction
It really ain't the rap audience that's buggin
It's one or two suckas, ignorant brothers
Trying to rob and steal from one another
You get caught in the mid
So to crush the stereotype here's what we did
We got ourselves together
so that you could unite and fight for what's right
Not negative 'cause the way we live is positive

KRS-One said he wanted to have Tone-Loc, Ice-T, and Big Daddy Kane on the song but their label at the time (Warner Bros) wouldn't approve their participation.
