I used a handlebar mounted camera to record a 7-day bicycle tour across North Carolina. My wife and I rode Cruzbike Silvio front wheel drive recumbent bicycles.
It would be interesting to see what a trained cyclist/competitive road ride could do on one. It seems that quite a few riders of 'bents are not your typical dedicated athletes putting alot of miles. It would be cool to see a pro or even good amateur on one.
Front wheel drive has taken a long time to catch on. My road bike friends are incredulous when I point out that all categories of bicycle speed records are now held by recumbent bikes. I love my upright frame, but recumbent bikes are both faster and more comfortable; a tough combination to beat. Now we have to get the UCI to allow these "contraptions" into sanctioned races. It remains to be seen if the free-rotating front wheel drive recumbent will out race the fixed frame fwd or rwd design.
Are you wearing a pair of sandals for the ride? Looked like it. I like the FWD concept, but i prefer an understeering for my recumbent. Anyway, they look good
Great. Thanks for making realize I bought the wrong recumbent! I wish I would have understood the superiority of the cruzbike design over the traditional recumbent before I made my purchase. My next bike will definitely be a cruzbike.

This was a great week. We couldn't have asked for better weather. Its nice to see some footage as a memory instead of pictures.
