  • Well that's why I have my guitarist of my band (As The Tides Come In) do some screams 2 cause I'm the drummer and its usually not good to scream while sitting down but oh well. Haha Ben I love ur band and maybe one day I could see u guys live? But I live in Seattle WA. :(

  • @cr6333 we'd love to come over to the US :) maybe one day! if your exhales sound like death growls thats cool, just do what i suggested and practice them, and experiment to get different tones. Some people are suited to different kinds of screaming :)

  • It took me awhile, but I would like to thank you for answering my question <3 :D

  • the vocalist from resist the thought uses both inhale and exhale. if you listen to their song "legacy of a martyr" you can hear him alternating bettween the two.

he exhales the words, "Held my head high, swore to the sky

That I'd stand and I'd fight and I'd die for my pride"

and then straight after he switches to an inhale when he says

"No remorse for the weak, you are all I despise "

and then after he switches back to exhale.

you can hear him alternating throughout the songs.

  • if i find my type of scream is it easy to do it over and over again

  • What about "airy" vocals... how to fix it

  • hi5 non smoking screamer!

  • @Zwitter101 of course not, go for it lol.

  • @unholyXromance "Pain is the bodies of way of saying there's something wrong "

Very good rule to follow there... mind if I steal it for some of my students :)

  • @edwardexecution That would be a very good comment but you need to mention that inhale screaming does little or no long-term damage to your vocal chords It's to your lungs that the damage is done. Energised/vibrated air particals enter your lungs and rip the aviolie (tiny pockets of air that you need to breathe) If you inhale for a few months realise its bad and stop you're fine. If you use it for a prelonged period of time 1-3 years, your lungs can collapse.

  • @xRushBlade True. Nothing happens to your throat (sometimes it hurts), it's that your lungs may collapse if you do inhale.
