The original game was totally bastardised by Sega of America. The girls were given less 'revealing' clothes, the main characters were given less 'gender specific' colours for their clothes and the difficulties were made much harder. They changed a general to the chief of police and the white house to city hall. There was also a boss that was clearly gay who they took out, and some names were changed.
I have the original Japanese game ROM and it's a lot different, 'Bare Knuckle 3'!

@TheSplicer83 don't know what version you have..but you could never run in the 2nd game...only skate could...but he sucks compared to axel anyway lol.
