  • I'm very glad you guys have decided to go back and review albums that have already made their impression. It goes to show that you don't have to hop on the review wagon of an album nine seconds after its release. And, this being BTBAM, of course I've had it since the day it was released in October 2009, and my opinions have shifted quite a bit since then. Great job guys, yet again.

  • @MyEggIsBoiled Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, and that you appreciate the older reviews. Doing the older albums is really important to us.

  • also, just my own conjecture, but I think that any open minded metalhead could get into alot of the genre-hopping that Between likes to do. Well, at least I love it; it gives the band a very unique flavor -- or many unique flavors, really.

  • @MrSplatterPlatter The metalheads you know must be more open-minded than most of the ones I know! I know a lot of people who just want to headbang on beat in 4/4 and don't really care about the musicality.

  • I would have to disagree (respectfully, of course) about Tommy vocals. I like them quite a bit, and feel it is pretty unique with how the rest of the band backs him up. Btw, check out his solo cd Thomas Giles: Pulse. It's great.

  • Yo. You should review their new(ish) EP. It's awesome.

  • Great review as always guys! I agree on pretty much everything. I love this album but, honestly, I find Swim to the Moon to be a little too much. You guys should check out the EP that others have mentioned, it really is fantastic.

  • Or Boards of Canada's Music Has the Right to Children. Both are instant classics imo

  • Could you guys review some Aphex Twin? You guys should totally take a whack at reviewing the Richard d. James album.

  • i like their older albums.

  • I like this album quite a bit, though maybe as not as much as Colors (which I think was one the first reviews you guys did that I saw). I like this band a lot, and always look forward to future releases.

  • @velocitiesinmusic Absolutely, and I truly respect that about you guys. I'm not saying new music isn't important, but I feel that albums of the past get looked over so the casual reviewer can just keep giving his/her opinion of the newest of the new. But when I go to buy music I'm not always looking for something that just hit shelves. Anything is open for me, no matter the year. So the fact that you guys branch out plays a big role in your validity is reviewers. Great job!
