Heavy Rain deleted scenes "The Secrets of the Scenario" making-of *SPOILERS*

Partly even fully animated. Incidentally explains why Madison has insomnia and why Ethan has the blackouts (and why he holds an origami etc.). However, the blackout background was cut because it's paranormal, so it can't really be considered cannon with the final game.

The blackouts were never explained in the game itself, am I right? Including the deleted blackout scenes would have still made it difficult to figure out the metaphors, but it would have at least gotten rid of that plot hole.

@SuperIGotHacked that scene wouldn't have made sense either, Scott only killed people if he thought he had to. There was no reason for him killing her.

Honestly, the blackout scenes could have been included. If they didn't care for the "special connection between Ethan and Shelby", and instead made it something more realistic, like...Ethan reading about the origami killer in the newspaper, and having weird dream like sequences in his blackouts. There, no "special paranormal" bond, just something he had read up on newspapers that stayed with him.

Makes sense, no?

the Iraq one with Madison could make sense. isn't it that one of the ways you could develop insomnia is if you travel from timezone to timezone? coz I have a sis in the military that travels a lot and she had developed it...

I don't really care about any of these scenes, but the blackouts and Madison's insomnia are never explained, like how they added the letter to Father and Son. Funnily, I always thought that Shelby DID kill him mother when you see he lifeless while he watches.
