Plus, repealing the severance tax would mean that our oil and gas guys could compete more fairly with those who come here from other States, U.S. offshore, and OPEC, to process their oil & gas, and rape our environment in the process — none of whom currently pay our State even ONE PENNY for the privilege.

Despite that loss of $3 bil./year in tax revnue, Foster's plan would result in a net overall INCREASE of AT LEAST $1½ bil./year. And that's not even taking into account the increases in sales and property tax revnue caused by the enormous boost in the State economy that repealing the individual and business income tax would do.

Cool video! But still, Foster Campbell is the man Louisiana needs. Not because he's a Democrat, but because he has the only actual PLAN (not to be confused with GOALS) to fix Louisina that would actually work. And, the plan in question is LIBERTARIAN! It would include ABOLISHING (not reducing) the State income tax, for individuals AND BUSINESSES, as well as the 12½% Oil & Gas Severance Tax that ONLY Louisiana O&G producers currently pay!
