Will I Be Next?

"Will I Be Next?" is a film that explores the issue of gun violence. Five established experts and numerous young people were interviewed for their perspective on this complex and incredibly troubling problem. The Field Foundation of Illinois commissioned and funded Free Spirit Media, a non-profit organization that focuses on civic-minded youth media education and production, to lead the production of the film. Students from Free Spirit Media's documentary filmmaking program at North Lawndale College Prep Charter High School developed the themes, conducted the interviews, filmed the images, designed the sound track, and edited the footage. All parties involved in the making of this film are deeply hopeful that "Will I Be Next?" will serve to raise awareness and motivate action against gun violence and the destruction it imposes on society.

Good piece. I don't agree with non violence. I disagree with allowing our children to be on the front lines while we hide in our homes and the only ones that are safe are the ones that do the same. Adults should be on the streets with the guns! We should be protecting our children forcefully from drug dealers, rapist, pimps and gangs.

well i attend North Lawndale college prep my school neighborhood isn't good at all but when i walk into my school it makes me feel different about my surroundings when i wait at a bus stop i have the risk of being shot in the 'ghetto' as u may call it people shoot for fun around here so the CDC told u about where you live not worldwide problems people get shot almost every other day around here all you need is 1 gun 2 protect your family
